 Excellent value for money September 2, 2010

I bought this item for my twelve year son, I wanted to buy him something similar to an ipod as I felt he was too young for the expense of one, as he uses his Kubik Neo during some of the school day, in the park playing football etc. He soon got to grips to all the features, the only problem he has which is not really a problem, is that sometimes it won't respond to the first tap and then you have to give it a few seconds before you try again. He finds it easy to upload his music and says the quality of sound is really good. I am thinking that I may purchase one for myself!

This is an excellent Player for the money. The Player is a good size and works well. The touch screen is good and most of the time works well . There is plenty of capacity. The battery lasts well , I have listened to 6 albums and the battery has still got charge left. I would recommend this Player to anyone who is after a cheap good MP3 player .

I bought this MP3 player for my 5 year old grand-daughter, so this review is based on her (and her parent's view). In summary she found it very easy to use, given a few guidelines. Her dad loaded on all her favourite groups and photos of her and her brother for her to show off. She used it non-stop on the 'long' trip to Spain. Mum and dad were very happy because it kept her quiet on the plane (she has been known to 'play up'). Dad reckoned it was better equipped than his ipod. I was happy because I didn't spend a fortune (in case she didn't use it). So a good result all round.

I was deeply disapointed with the Kubik Neo when I first got it as when it says "Youtube player" it means you can put videos on it that you have downloaded from youtube, not that you can actually access it. It states music and video files can be a wmp (windows media player) format, but when I put on a song in that format, it said it could not play that format (the same happened with a video). The files that do work for music are mp3 formats. For video's the file type that works is 3GP. I had to download video converting software to put it on. The radio reception is not the best for an mp3 player. On the upside the sound quality for music is superb. Video quality is not always very good. The voice recording feature is great, and the photo viewer is also quite good. For anyone who doesn't know, G-sensor means when you turn the player, the icons turn so that they are always the right way up. Overall the player is great for music, but not good for entertainment.
Amazon mp3 downloads are brilliant, they come in the correct format for the Kubik Neo, and are the cheapest ive found!
