I bought this product and it lasted for 3 weeks when it fell on the floor it stopped working, the computer couldn't recognise it and it made smoe wheezing noises.

brilliant player for the price. easy to use and interface with the computer.
The touchscreen can be a bit small for fingers and has a vibrate funcion that can be turned off. it can also take a few second to load the menus when its full but what would you expect for something 1/3 of the price of the relevant apple model.
Ive been using it for a couple of months now and its never crashed, reasonable battery life too. oh and the video quality was much better than i was expecting.
if i was paying 150 for it id give it about 3.5 or 4 but for the price a definite 5/5

Here is my opinion on the Kubic Neo. Quite a few good and bad points below. You can weigh them up for yourself depending upon your needs.
*****Good features:
Impressively cheap. Other branded players with similar functionlity generally cost twice as much.
Competent music/video player. Music libraries are easy to search, with no delay while navigating your music library and selecting tracks. Importantly for me, the unit plays both .wma and .mp3. Video player is good, too. Image quality is quite impressive.
Smooth touch screen. Light touches are aLL that is needed, and the response is near-instant.
Good text/ e-book reader. .txt documents are a good format as they take up hardly any room; a Shakespeare play is a smaller file than a single mp3 track. The screen is too small to read for a long period of time, but you can change the font/colour of the text and read in landscape or portrait mode.
Capacity - 8GB is roomy enough for most needs. Enough for perhaps 200 albums, a few you tube clips, pictures, and many e-books.
*****Bad features:
Extremely weak FM reception. I can only get 1 local radio station. Conversely, my cheap and old mobile phone can pick up a full compliment of local and national stations. The radio function is therefore all but defunct. This is a great shame as the record-from-radio would've been a good feature. -1 star.
Unresponsive power button. Strangely enough, the unit is actually difficult to turn off. The power button is very small, fidly, and with hardly any give. A bit frustrating (turning unit on is fine. Just plug in the charger or USB and the main display lights up).
Dimensionless headphones. Renders music flat - you'll need to invest in a new pair.
The glossy back panel is prone to scratches from keys etc.
An amatuerish/rushed feel - the main display is bland. THe option to change the grey background to a picture of your choice would be all that is needed. The instruction book has instructions to charge the unit for 6 hours for the first charge and then 12 hours a few pages later. The only 'utlilty' is a stopwatch and file-search engine, although fireware updates should add to this.
No external volume buttons. This is not such a big problem because you can leave the player unlocked in your pocket - the touch screen only really responds to human taps. Still, external buttons would certainly have been preferable.

Very pleased with this media player. It is an excellent piece of kit. Small and light so easy to carry around and fits easily into your pocket. The touch screen is very good, which makes the player very easy to navigate and find your way around. Sound quality is excellent. So far I have downloaded 85 CD's and still only used half of the storage space, so there is plenty of capacity. Battery life seems reasonable so far. I spent a long time looking at various other players but am very pleased with my decision to buy this one. One word of warning - it has no external speaker so you can only listen to it through the head phones. Not a problem for me as I use it at work but there was no mention of this in the description.
