A wonderful little harmonica that has given me hours of enjoyment learning how to play it. I would recommend it for any beginning player.

I bought this as a Gold Box deal for my 5-year-old daughter. I thought I'd enjoy hearing harmonica music more than some of the noisy "music" toys and I was totally right. Even without training the music comes out sounding pleasant. Without any help, she quickly noticed the numbers for the different holes and starting figuring out ways to play a few songs that she knows.
It is quite durable (as it is used as a toy in my house) and has a very nice sound. At some point I am probably going to have to buy another one for my 3-year-old who also enjoys blowing on it and figuring out how to make music.

I ordered this for my husband at Christmas. As an ecelctic music lover with little time in his life to practice a musical instrument, this seemed perfect. He really liked it. After all, you blow in or out of it and nice sounds come forth. He blows during TV shows and movies (when we're alone) and finds it relaxing. Yes, there are lots of people who are really good and it takes skill, but it's fun for anyone. We were also surprised to know Hohner harmonicas are made about an hour from where we are living. Who knew?
Neither of us will ever be any good, but this harmonica's well made, it's fun, sturdy and a great collection piece. I may look at another so we can both play badly together.
