 works good as cover September 21, 2008
this fits standard five gal bucket snug so as it doesn't fall off. it appears that it would keep water/rain out of your bucket. the container built into the lid does not seem so water repellant. dont put anything in their that cant get wet even accidentaly.
Great Product September 26, 2007
Holds small items in their compartments in any position. Must close lid carefully. Strong enough to sit on, but I'm only 160 lbs.

It is very convenient and seems to hold up well to being used as a seat or a step stool. My only complaint is that the lid latch is not very positive on both the storage compartment. It also isn't very solid snapping onto the bucket. I solved both problems with a bungie across the top of the bucket over the lid. Set up like this, it works out quite nicely.

The cover for this item just doesn't close properly. It's left and right edges will not stay tight to the base.
