The knife pictured is the standard model. The one you get has the wood and metal handle. The action is smooth, the lock positive. Once you have one, you'll look for things to cut!!

This knife is awesome!!! Quick blade changes, very secure and a tough knife! I have three, one for work, one home and another with a carpet blade. Very consistant workmanship. Buy it.

Seems unlikely that someone could "innovate" a utility knife but the folks at Sheffield sure did! I picked up the lower priced verson at Wal-Mart and loved the thing so much that I ordered the Premium verson for every day use. You can replace the utility blade with a very unique and what appears to be very safe (at least so far for me) cam type mechanism. Simple and easy! What a great way to keep your "knife" sharp...just replace the blade with standard utility blades. The blade also locks open so you don't have to worry about the thing closing on your fingers. For general use around the house, camp etc. this thing is great!
