Product Description
One-hand operation lets you check timing belt (or chain) and overall ignition system performance. Designed to work on conventional, computer controlled and distribution ignition systems (DIS) on either foreign or domestic vehicles. Slim, rotating barrel allows for better aim and access to timing marks. Optically correct lens. Detachable 6-ft. lead with inductor and 2 battery leads. Model #3551.

Pretty good for the price October 5, 2008
Equus 3551 Xenon Inductive Timing Light
I'm sure there are better ones out there, but for the price this is a pretty good light. It's a little bulky trying to point at the timing marks on the front of an engine but the head swivel helps out a little bit. I just needed a basic light to adjust my timing a little bit, and this worked. If you need a light for anything beyond that I would suggest a better one.

Simple to use and good construction. Nothing fancy, just a timing light that does its job.
First use was in full daylight and it was easy to read the timing marks. I am happy with the purchase.

If you're going to use this occasionally, it will serve you very well. The light seems to be well made and works great. It is plastic, so it probably won't stand up to abuse, but it's perfect for how I plan to use it. I wish it had come with a case but at this price I can understand why it doesn't.
